This episode is somewhat unique inasmuch as the patrol car used by Dan Mathews and Officer Garvey is a Ford with the warning lights mounted on the roof. The substantial majority of patrol cars used in this series were "premium" makes (such as Buick, Oldsmobile, Mercury, or Dodge) with the warning lights mounted on the side and/or on the rear shelf of the passenger compartment.
In this early show their call signs are spoken as, for example Matthews, "two-one-five-o". This changed in remaining shows to being spoken as "Twenty-One Fifty". Also when Matthews finishes speaking he carefully puts the microphone back on the seat unlike in later shows where he just drops or tosses the microphone down.
Dan Mathews is driving a 1955 Ford "Customline Fordor" Sedan with roof mounted Red lights and Siren. This vehicle is possibly the Ford "Law Enforcement and Emergency Use" version of their "Fordor" Sedan with their 292 cu. in. "Interceptor" V8 engine. The LE version also featured four White painted doors on Sedans and two White painted doors on Coupes. The paint extends back to the Quarter Panel on the Coupe, giving the appearance of the 4 door vehicle.
Officer Peterson #2669 is driving a 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 when he leaves the stakeout location. There is a White colored (5) character code on the driver side above the Front Bumper and to the left of the Turn Signal. There is no front license plate. This could actually be a CHP Inventory Number.
Suspect Hutkins is driving a light green 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door Sedan.
