Two local news crews (the two that are documnted) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, WCCO and KARE, interviewed a woman in her home with her husband and her nine-month-old daughter where they were driving down Stearns County Road 10 south of Albany, Minnesota, United States at about 5:40AM CST on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, on their way to drop off her nine-month-old daughter at daycare and drove on a patch of ice that had formed on the road eariler and crashed into the Sauk River. Earlier, she had watched
Underwater Car (2007) and remembered what
Jamie Hyneman and
Adam Savage had said what to do if a car goes into a body of water. She heald her nine-month-old daughter above her head and waited for the water to fill up the car all the way, stayed calm, then opened the driver side door and made it to land. She was treated for hyperthermia and then released to go home. Her nine-month-old daughter suffered no harm because of her being brave and held her nine-month-old daughter above her head and above the water.
