I give this documentary 5 just because of prejudice, I would like to give it more. Prejudice in the fact that (1) I am a historian and (2) I am from New Orleans. I understand that Stephen Ives made this documentary very quickly in order to capture any photo's, old film, and living memories of the city after KATRINA. But after watching Ric Burns' documentary NEW YORK and another American Experience DOC on Chicago, I felt the one on New Orleans was a "drive-thru" film made very quickly with whatever resources happened to be on the ground at the time. I enjoy this documentary only because it fills a void that I have for my home town. However, I do look forward to the day when someone will take the time to go over New Orleans' history with much more reverence. GOOD JOB--COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER.
