Chennai, April 21: Director Selvabharathy, known for films such as "Ninaithen Vanthai" and "Priyamanavale" has refuted rumours that he's directing the remake of Tamil classic "Enga Veetu Pillai" with actor Vijay.
"I was interested in remaking the film many years ago. But I have no such plans of working on it now. Whatever you've been hearing are just rumours which I don't know from where they originate. I'm currently working on a film called 'Parry's Corner'," Selvabharathy told Ians.
In "Parry's Corner", which is about the life of rickshaw pullers, singer Gaana Bala makes his acting debut in a lead role.

Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ had a grand opening towards the entire centre as the theatres were house packed for the first three days. But now, the scenarios have become so contrastive that most of the single screens (where major portion of Vijay fans occupy) is witnessed with half-empty shows.
One of the theatre’s managers in Chennai says that they are completely disappointed with the 5th day results as the collections abruptly dropped.
Sun Pictures had aggressively marketed the film prior to its results which could push the audiences to watch this film on first three days with advance booking plans. But now, since the film has nothing to impress, the women audiences have backed off from opting for this show.
Looks like it’s time for Vijay to act in films like Youth, Badri, Priyamanavale and Friends, since those were the films that won him laurels.
