What an episode. I was practically yelling at my tv screen. I can't understand the thought process of the first suspect. He confesses to a crime he didn't commit and also testifies against his friend and gets him thrown in jail for life! He alleged police coercion, which I have no reason to doubt was part of it, but even parts of that don't make sense -- he claimed the police were threatening to put him in jail where he would be the "new meat", so his solution was to confess... which put him in jail! In the end though, sadness is the overwhelming emotion here at the lives lost, literally and figuratively.
