This episode sets a perfect atmosphere for Edward. This is one of his only starring roles in an episode as he is the main character. This is his most enduring, painful trial Edwards been put through, but he keeps on going because no matter what, this character keeps on striving to make the railway just that bit better. I cannot believe this deep, courageous and phenomenal role model was replaced with the non-entity, shallow diversity tick on a checklist that is Nia. Mattel (and HIT Entertainment) never understood what made Edward so special. This episode will always have a luxurious, wonderful place in my heart. Thank you, Britt Allcroft.

This is an excellent episode for Excellent Edward. We see Edward truly trying to start the train in the beginning of the episode but the three big engines Gordon, Henry and James are being jerks by making snide remarks with Gordon's being the last straw. Duck is right, the three big engines are jealous and Edward is better than them. Boco is also right, Edward may be old but he'll show them. Well done Duck and Boco for putting the big engines in their places. I love Edward persevered through difficult weather this episode. Even though he faced problems along the way, he still managed to take the passengers all the way to the station. All it took was a little problem solving from his driver and fireman. The solution was to loosen the coupling between the coaches. Although Edward got to the station late making Sir Topham Hatt cross, the passengers thanked him for still getting them there. Henry was at the station but stayed respectfully silent. When Edward returned to the Sheds, Gordon and James also remained respectfully silent while Duck and Boco made sure that Edward was left in peace. Well done Edward, you may not be the biggest engine but you are one of the kindest and bravest.
