Harold Innocent returns as the fearsome 'Tucker' ( chairman of International Rentals ), a role he last played in Season 1's 'Men Without Women'.
Rex is pleased with himself as he has devised a way of drastically reducing the employee's bonuses. Disaster strikes when he manages to lose the first ( and most important ) page of his document. Fletcher wants Rex to draw up plans to down-size the company. Someone has to go. Who should it be?
Written by Phil Redmond ( the creator of the children's series 'Grange Hill' and the soaps 'Brookside' and 'Hollyoaks', as well as a contributor to sitcoms such as 'Doctor In Charge' and 'Doctor At Sea' ), this is, by 'Squirrels standards, a densely plotted episode. With a minimal bit of rewriting, it could almost have worked as a drama. Burke's love of comics not only extends to Marvel titles but 'Buster' ( which I used to love as well ).
Funniest moment - Rex tells Fletcher and Tucker he thinks the company should ditch both Harry and Burke. They agree that somebody should go. Slowly, it dawns on Rex that it is him they have in mind for the sack. Ken Jones had a knack for funny facial expressions and it is put to good use here.
