- Grange Hill comes to terms with Danny Kendall's death with the planting of a tree and the holding of a memorial service.
- Mrs. McClusky announces the death of Danny Kendall and a memorial service. Miss Booth is distraught, and breaks down during the first lesson. She can't face the prospect of the forthcoming Isle of Wight trip with just her and Mr. Bronson in charge. It's not long before accusative graffiti is pointing the finger at Mr. Bronson. The death causes Robbie to think about his own mortality. Not everyone seems shocked though - Trevor brightly asks Gonch if he's won the sweep-stake to predict Danny's return: Mandy suggests that Gonch plant a tree in Danny's memory, using the sweep-stake money. Susi's catalogue clothes arrive, but she has second thoughts in consideration of them being damaged. When they are trying them out, they get in the way of Trevor and Ziggy's tomato ketchup fight. Luckily Carole's mother works in a dry cleaner shop. Justine is called to Mrs. McClusky's office because Tegs has gone missing from his care home, but she can't help. Mrs. McClusky finds out that Danny's death was by natural causes - a brain hemorrhage with the same underlying cause as his earlier illness. Before the memorial service gets under way the tree is planted, and his friends speak about their memories of Danny. Dir Robert Gabriel—Geffers
