- A young child's fear of "a monster in the well" may keep him from saving the life of someone close to him.
- On the surface, Victor seems like a normal man. He is a family man and an exemplary husband. His one great hobby is his greenhouse. But beneath his friendly exterior lies the soul of a psychopath, a man who is hiding his victims in his greenhouse. To his credit, he tries to control his impulses by reading books about other psychopathic murderers, but the reading offers little help. Victor has always prided himself in being able to keep his violent side from his wife and young son, but soon the murders become harder to hide.
The situation is complicated when Victor's wife hires a nanny to care for their son when she has to leave home for a few days. The parents greatest fear is that their young son will play in the dangerous well in the backyard. The nanny is warned to keep the boy away from it. In order to keep the boy from the well, the nanny tells the impressionable child that there is a monster in the well. Unfortunately for her, the story of the well monster may be more powerful than she expected. While the father is attempting to murder the nanny, she falls into the well. Will the terrifying story be enough to keep the boy from looking into the well and possibly saving the nanny before it is too late?
