This episode introduces Gabriel, another character who can talk to the dead. He is set up as the opposite of Melinda; his purpose is to turn ghosts to the dark side. His relationship with her is ambiguous as regards family.
Here we get to see the return of the plane crash stewardess, who still seems to be clueless. Gabriel is yet another character who show up for a few episodes, and then disappears, much like the broad-brimmed hat demon, and Delia's suitors. Seems the writers just didn't know what to do with them all once they were introduced.
