. . . a man's job, but that seems to be the plot of THE BABY CONTEST. As Olive's little buzzword sings at the conclusion of this film, "I'm strong to the Finnish when I eat the spinach of Popeye the Sailor Man." Speaking of Finns, can YOU let America's preeminent center of Helsinki Culture--F-i-n-l-a-n-d-i-a University--go totally kaput, close down and permanently disappear, a dire fate reported by the Detroit Free Press March 5, 2023? Since these pages are read religiously by all of Tinsel Town's movers and shakers, isn't there at least one movie mogul who is willing to save Hancock's former Suomi College? These dire straits are entirely a matter of money, with the culture of the Finns increasing daily across our U. S. Homeland. Just this past week I saw a preview for the upcoming action picture S-I-S-U, in which a heroic Finn begins fighting the Fuhrer's henchmen single-handed during World War Two. Can we really afford to lose our Finnish heroes, in the hopes that Popeye doesn't shirk his duties again as he does in THE BABY CONTEST?
