What can I say more ?! Usually , by the fourth season ANY series begins to re-spin stories, rely on guest stars , bringing "who shot J.R." kind of drama to get the same interest from the spectators . Not Boston Legal . Saffron Burrows and John Larroquette are good additions for the regular cast not like Lake Bell or Constance Zimmer that had very modest ... let's not say dramatic performance but ... very modest dramatic impact when compared to the likes of Christian Clemenson that , I must say , is a genius choice for a new regular . Still , one thing should be avoided : with the addition of Christian Clemenson's & Gary Anthony Williams' characters the show is stepping quite close towards the Ally McBeal content . Boston Legal is , unlike Ally McBeal , very dramatic and serious . That's the quintessence of it , while exposing such elegant and rich humor , the show exposes real, to the point, dramatic problems of the current economical, social & political situation in America . With this occasion I send out a huge THANK YOU to David E. Kelley for exposing the tragedy of the misguided ways of the U.S. government and U.S. society that distances itself more and more from the true values of democracy and humanity . Also BIG thanks to the same Mr. Kelley for showing everybody what a real friendship looks like . It's a lesson that we must learn again . I hope Bill and Jimmy get at least half as close as they are on the screen
I know Shatner has a great soul despite his eccentric style and Spader puts great value on life and human relations . Oh , and good idea with Mark Valley as the state representative . I hope we get more than 11 seasons from Boston Legal !!!
