Our heroes must protect the Prince of the Sea, Manaphy, from the evil pirate Phantom, and return the young Pokémon to the Sea Temple with the help of the the People of the Water and Jackie the Pokémon Ranger.
An idyllic town is thrown into chaos when two powerful Pokémon, Dialga and Palkia, cross paths and battle, distorting the dimensions of time and space. The only hope comes from Darkrai, a shadowy Pokémon shunned by the townsfolk.
When Pikachu is taken to the Tree of Beginnings by the playful Mew, Ash Ketchum and friends are guided to the tree by Lucario, a time-displaced Pokémon who seeks answers regarding the betrayal of his master.
Arceus, creator of the world, comes to pass judgement on humanity for the theft of the Jewel of Life, but Ash Ketchum and his friends are sent back in time to discover and possible reverse the events that led to Arceus' vendetta.
It all started with a legend passed down from the People of the Water - Somewhere in this world, there is a Sea Temple created by the People of the Water. The Sea Temple contains a hidden treasure called the Sea Crown, but no one has ever seen the Sea Crown, or even the Sea Temple, because the temple is protected by a secret mechanism. The temple drifts through a vast ocean undetected, waiting - waiting... Ash and Pikachu meet Lizabeth, a descendant of the People of the Water, and learn about the legend. They also meet Jackie, a Pokémon Ranger on a secret mission to protect a Manaphy egg (Manaphy is mysteriously known as The Prince of the Sea) and find the Sea Temple as well. The Phantom plans to obtain the Sea Crown and take over the world - but first he needs the Manaphy egg. Now Lizabeth and Ash must help Jackie protect the egg and stop the nefarious pirate.Written by
This was the first Pokemon film to have new dub actors. The only voice to remain the same was Wobbuffet, played by Kayzie Rogers. See more »
[having found one of Phantom's air capsule's in Samiya]
May, get in here. It's Phantom's. Come on, you gotta!
[May takes Ash's hand and he pulls her into the capsule. He lays her down into it, then he takes Pikachu off his shoulder and places him in the capsule with May and Manaphy. He picks up the crystal and turns to the others]
Pikachu, you take care of the two of them.
[Ash closes the capsule and locks it]
I have to go put this back. Now you guys just sit tight in there and wait.

This is one of the worst Kids movies I've ever seen in my entire life.
What the heck did I just watch? Ugh. This is one of the worst Kids movies I've ever seen in my entire life.
And I'm dead serious man, it's worse than Misty's Togepi, It's worse than Wilhelmina's Marill, It's even worse than Ash's Lavitar. And I'm not making this up.
I FEEL DEFEATED, I FEEL DISGUSTED,and I feel betrayed. How can they make a movie on The most annoying Misty and Togepi ripoff could be a good idea, huh?
Well, at least Manaphy gets to go home in Samiya in the end.
I figure that How did Manaphy got popular in Japan again? Because it's called "The Prince of the Sea"? Well Manaphy wasn't actually a Prince, or is he? He doesn't care about anyone. He cared about May, he wants to make money off of this movie, so he could make more fans, more views, and millions and millions of subscribers, so he could be one top of The Internet's community. And it makes me feel god dang.. ugh.. *imitates explosion* You know as bad as the movie is, it could have been worse. I MEAN, COULD YOU IMAGINE MANAPHY REALLY DID GOTTA POPULAR IN JAPAN?
