I guess it's going to be up to me to provide a review of this backyard independent production. Though I cannot help but think that no one is going to read this review given the extreme obscurity of this movie. Anyway, on to "The Sleepwalker". This movie has a striking similarity to many shot-on-videotape movies from the 1980s, the only real difference was that it was not shot on videotape. Although it runs just 76 minutes long, it's unbelievably slow-moving, maybe because there only enough plot for a half hour television show. The stretched-out story is the fatal blow, but even without it the movie would have been extremely beat up by the threadbare production values and the amateurish acting. There is a twist in the final few minutes, but it's not terribly surprising, maybe because the director wasn't apparently able to generate any suspense or mystery here or anywhere else in the movie. I've seen a lot worse, I admit, but I still don't understand how this managed to find a distributor on DVD.
