No Gouketsu fight??!

Warning: Spoilers
I rated the last episode a solid 10/10, it was superb in my opinion. Animation sure wasn't as good as season 1, but it was enjoyable and fun to watch. This episode on the other hand, was an utter disappointment. In the Manga there is an epic battle between Gouketsu and Saitama, with Gouketsu having the big mouth. Could be so entertaining to watch. Even if the anime wouldn't be as good as season 1, its still something i think we all expected to see this episode.

Not as good as the 1 season episodes, but this one brings some fresh vibes to this half-way-good season

What makes One Punch Man One Punch Man is not actually its fight scenes but its mocking of the other animes. We know that Saitama is unbeatable and he can take most of hi foes with a single punch or a "Serious Series of Serious Punches". What makes the show it is as I have mentioned it before is its mockery and we see it in this episode very well; such as after his speech end King confesses to himself that he actually read that speech in a manga whereas Sonic gets diarrhea after cooking his monster cell. I'm looking forward to see the other episodes in this quality.

Nice story but I don't enjoy the fights anymore.

Season 1 offered us some amazing fight scenes that I still watch from time to time. Season 2 for some reason is cutting all the cool punch scenes and it's really frustrating. especially in this episode. Yea we know Saitama can defeat anyone in one punch, but when he does we want to see it.

A great story, crippled by the (lack of) animation
mtneykov12 June 2019
The story overall for season 2 has been quite fun and bringing a lot of neat twists.

This episode in particular highlights the problem with the season perfectly. All of the actual fighting happens off-screen and we are handed a few stills of the characters that have already thrown a punch or a kick. This episode doesn't have a single animated punch. Just compare it to the very first episode of Season 1 - everything is sharp, clean and bold - going to heavily stylized action pieces as well as subtle animated art.

It is hard to imagine that the studio did not have the budget after the phenomenon that was Season 1.

After the anticipation of last episode, Season 2, Episode 9 was an anti-climactic disappointment that stabs itself with poor animation.

Amazing storywise, animation remains only good

Sorry to say but an anime is not only to be judged for its story. If we wanted that we would read the manga only.

Therefore we can safely conclude that we need the creators from season one back, asap. Current creators from this season did a good job but that is not enough unfortunately. The creative visual genius from season one is yet to be seen this season - something which is highly unlikely.

Please sell this to another studio.

Yet again, mindless and stale directing. Scenes fall flat where they shouldn't. Laughable animation. I literally feel like I am watching Charlie Brown artistry. I cannot get over how ugly some of these frames are, much less the complete lack of animation in fights. Why am I giving this 3 stars?

Last episode was incredible because of dialogue delivery of saitama was top notch at the climax. We were waiting for the fight with Goketsu but you guys skipped it wow congratulations. You guys are ruining the perfect strong animation. we love the story so far but its not enough..... please fight up guys.
