Sweet touching ending...
dawnsacks-015788 April 2020
A Sweet touching ending for a wonderful show. As I've always told everybody give it a few episodes and you will be hooked. The characters were people you wish you knew. The love was always the heart of the show. The humour was never in the jokes but the delivery. The clothes. Need I say more. Loved this little show so much. And it starred an Icon, Eugene Levy, a man born and raised in my hometown of Hamilton Ontario Canada . Nothing better has ever come out of Canadian TV. Thank you Schitts Creek for a job well done

I absolutely loved this episode. Never before have I seen such a real and genuine relationship as has been represented with David and Patrick. And being a meme we of the lgbtq community it brings great joy to see the finale focus so heavily on this couple. And honestly now I get emotional whenever I hear the song simple the best. This show has provided some of the most out loud laughs for me and I'm truly going to miss it. I only wish I had realized how great this show was sooner. But I'm happy I was there for the end.

A perfect ending!

What a beautiful way to send off an amazing show! I was very late to the party but as soon as I started watching this show I fell in love with them all. An incredible story & over 6 amazing seasons the character growth is truly amazing for all of them. I was so happy for David finding his happy ending with Patrick. Alexis finding out she doesn't need a man for success & growing the most. Johnny never lost the passion for creating a business & he's set up a new empire & Stevie found the passion & gets the responsibility she deserves. Moira back acting on her role she never moved on from. The wedding was beautiful, vows had me crying & the girls singing 'Simply The Best' was a nice touch. I loved Roland & him sticking up for Johnny a couple episodes ago at the business meeting was a nice sign of how far they've come! The final scene with the sign was a perfect way to go out! I will miss this show, it really found the perfect balance of comedy & heart. Beautifully done.

This is the best ending for a show I have ever seen.
c-keenan20018 April 2020
I think this is the best ending to a show I have ever seen in my life. Some shows are dropped by the network but this one had an emotional ring to it. It's better when shows go out with a bang rather than get dropped by the network in a whimper. And to the commentor who said "David cheated on Patrick" no he didn't. Once David realized what a "Happy Ending" entailed he put a stop to it before it went too far and David did talk to Patrick and calmed him down him down.

Easily the best episode of the show

Warning: Spoilers
The wedding was beautiful. Things clearly weren't going as planned as we see from the beginning. The "happy ending" scene was hilarious, I was cackling! When he turns to Stevie to silently voice how good it was!

The actual wedding was perfect. Having the Jazzagals sing "The Best" was a nice touch. Moira as a flashy Pope was INCREDIBLE. Maybe the best outfit I've seen on her. Of course she mentioned crows! I was crying. Then, Patrick starts singing Mariah Carey. Now, I am SOBBING. Don't think I've cried like this at a TV episode In a long long time.

Johnny saying goodbye to his son was sweet, pure realness. He takes one look back and we see the family on the sign. Total perfection. What a flawless send-off.

Second best ep was the one before this and third was the surprise party in Season 5.

I think as a whole, this show is just decent. There's a lot of filler, especially with the first 3 seasons. But when it's good, it's GOOD. And this is perfect. Gonna wipe the tears from my eyes now byyeee. But before I go, one last time

Ew, David!

The best ending of a show ever. Not too corny. So many Easter eggs. Sentimental yet funny. Absolutely incredible from start to finish.

It's a Wrap

Hard to say goodbye. Things are set up for the wedding. Could have been a bit more complexity, but what the heck. Of course, it is going to rain. The whole thing is all the eggs in one basket. But there is true affection and love and how can one watch this whole show and not be brought to tears? This was a phenomenon that will never be duplicated.

Such a beautiful send-off

This felt as a part two of a goodbye finale with the previous episode. The show exited with a subtle grace, holding true to the admiration we have grown for this family.

Amazing ending to a perfect show!

Warning: Spoilers
I started this show during quarantine and have watched it 4 times all the way through! Each time I cry during this episode. It was the perfect way to end each characters storyline. Moira's outfit for the wedding is iconic. The songs the Jazzsgals sing which were used in previous episodes just fit so perfect. The vows...tears! And the ending is hilarious!

Not the Funniest Episode, but a Solid Conclusion
coltsfan182888 April 2020
I only laughed a few times, but as a fan of the show since day one this episode was the emotional sendoff we needed. It won't be remembered as an all-time great series finale like The Office, but at least it didn't Dexter things up.

Possibly the worst episode in the show
FilmBuff04098 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Okay I really hate how much I don't enjoy this season. This being one of my favourite shows this season, and especially this particular episode, just really didn't hit home. My first problem with this season is that it's just not funny, it's about serious matters, and yes, this is the characters tying up loose ends and making a future for themselves, but where did the comedy go?

And for this episode especially, David cheats on Patrick and it's a 30 second conversation about "oh yeah I guess that could happen now that I think of it". Like... WHAT?! I don't know. I don't understand how that could be brushed off so easily and not hurt the wedding. That kind of ruined David's character for me, he's not ready to be married if he doesn't see a problem with that. So his character really hasn't developed since the earlier immature seasons of his character.

The wedding was rushed as well, after the vows it showed nothing but the final goodbye.

Overall this entire season has absolutely sucked and this episode was so bad it really leaves me on a bitter note. I'll have to just stick to watching the older seasons. Such a shame to see one of my favourite shows turn into this.

Decent Series Finale
wrenleung8 April 2020
I thought the "happy ending" scene was hilarious. The ending was just an ending. It's unfortunate that one main character got 80% of airtime in this final episode. I thought the previous episode was the best one and felt more like a finale. That all said, I am thankful for such a beautiful show, made in Canada 🇨🇦

WANTS MOREEEE SEASONS!!!!
aoki_ra17 November 2020
This entire show grew on me. At first, i felt like it was outta place. But I kept watching till I finished the first season and I quite liked it. But it gets better and better every new season. I get closed to the characters and felt like they were my actual neighbors or acquaintances. But I found out it's already over before I finished the whole. Now, I finished the final season and feel like it doesn't really need to be over yet. I mean, seriously, whyyyy?????

Great finale!

Everyone's done a great job through these 6 seasons, there's a moment that seems displaced in the finale but otherwise a fantastic send off.

David's Wedding
vivianla5 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
David is woken up by his family. They inform him there is a really bad storm and thunder. They have to look for a new venue. Alexis asks why he did not get a tent.

David and Patrick talk at Patrick's. Patrick tells him he set up an appointment for David to get a massage way beforehand.

David goes to the appointment where the male masseuse tells him he is awfully tight and massages the knots out of his neck. He then lifts the sheet slightly so David can face up and later David is startled by a motion.

They decide to use the town hall for the wedding.

David comes back very relaxed and says it was his first time getting a happy ending. Patrick states he did not pay for a happy ending on their wedding day. David leaves with Stevie to get dressed and let Patrick suit up.

Back at the motel David enters and Alexis comes out of the washroom in a lovely floor length white gown that looks like a wedding dress. David is mortified because she is walking him down the aisle and she is wearing white on his wedding day.

At the wedding the women wear beautiful black dresses. I love Twyla's particularly. They pull back the curtain and Johnny and Stevie walk down first and then David and Alexis.

The crowd forces smiles and Roland comments doesn't it look like they are husband and wife? Alexis is holding David very close too.

They say their vows. David says he has not felt safer with anyone else.

Next morning Alexis wears a sweater over the dress and Stevie's hair looks so straight. The Rose parents leave in a car with a driver. Johnny takes a moment to stare at the sign.

I feel a little sad Alexis does not end up with Ted and I really wanted to learn more about some of the townspeople. Twyla, the Schitts, Mutt, etc.

Good Years for the Roses
Lejink1 May 2024
My wife and I were both happy and sad to reach the end of "Schitt's Creek". Comprising six seasons, each seemingly better than the last, we certainly enjoyed getting to know the madcap characters of this crazy, crazy town to which the once super rich Rose family have descended.

Everyone will have their favourite character, from the Betty Boop-like Alexa, her highly strung but ever-hungry brother David, pragmatic, peaceable dad Johnny and his self-centred, language-mangling wife Moira and that's before you get into all the local townsfolk.

We'll also miss town mayor Roland's too-late-I've-already-said-it candour, his sassier-than-she-looks wife Jocelyn and tough little cookie, hotel receptionist Stevie.

It all ended up with all four members of the family finally finding a way out of Schitt's, if they choose to take it and David's marriage to his boyfriend Patrick. I actually thought there was going to be one more twist in the tale - what with Alexa garbed in a white dress on the day, we were sure that Ted would fly back in and see us off with a double wedding celebration, but it sadly wasn't to be.

I understand that all four principal actors won Emmy's for their performances in this the final season and must say that they were all fully merited. Kudos too to the production company for quitting while they were ahead, even if it means the door closing permanently on the old Rosebud Motel.

This was definitely one of the best comedies that we have seen in many years and will certainly miss the wars of these particular Roses from our television screen.

A great ending
flavia-blinda28 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this show and characters so much, it has brought me immense joy watching.

Seeing what the Rose family has gone through, their journey from superficial, rich people to living in a community full of good people, how they grew and found love for one another, how they made friend and learned what it truly means to be appreciated and care for other people.

This ending is the best one could have hoped for. I cried through all of it, it's so emotional and heart-warming. I am so glad David decided to stay :) hopefully they will do some more episodes some day, so we can see where they ended up.

And the last scene was simply perfect.

Not so fulfilling
tariqzafar-1202018 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I felt the ending was underwhelming. Only part of the last episode that was good was the wedding. But i was expecting a bit more than the lacklustre good byes the Roses gave to all their friends especially the Schitts. They were not even there in the last scene. Although the ending would sound practical where they would leave the small town for greener pastures but a part of heart wanted them all to just stay there. I felt this season fell slightly short of expectations.

Thankfully it's the end
hawthornd23 December 2020
I'm a glutton for punishment. I really hoped this show would get better but if anything it went downhill, it wasn't even up the hill at the start so I'm not sure how that's even possible!

Moira - what idiot thought her hi/lo voice would be anything except annoying? Added to that her stupid wigs, make up and wardrobes. What a waste of a very talented comedic actress.

Alexis - walking around like a demented squirrels. Her hand movements on every syllable were irritating and distracting.

David - is pulling faces considered acting now? Every scene with this character was torture.

Johnny/Roland/Bob - possibly the only likeable characters in the show and severely under utilised. The few scenes involving just these three characters together were the only watchable moments of the show.

Please do not bring this tripe back!

not bad, not great
emilie-8607810 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The whole final season was pretty underwhelming in my opinion. sure, it put a nice bow on the series, but it felt out of character for the show. and are we never going to talk about how david had sex with another man on his wedding day?? really perpetuating stereotypes about gay/bi men and their promiscuity.

For being such a great TV comedy series this was a weird, simply weird and deflating for a series ending
Ed-Shullivan8 April 2020
A grand finale that fell well short of expectations. Why did the producers zero in on one of the most irritating characters (David Rose) of this lovable Canadian sitcom series finale? After six (6) seasons I expected so much more from the entire cast of Schitt's Creek but instead we had to endure the hysterical David Rose once again taking center stage on this, his wedding day.

It lacked ANY humor, terms of endearment or sincerity for a series ending, and the script was written by none other than Dan Levy and dear old dad.

Quite disappointing for a series finale. No tears of joy or disappointment will be shed for Schitt's Creek dismal ending.

I LOVED this series.

I disliked this series finale. So sad. Too Bad.
