This is the first film from director Alan Curtis Williams.
After completing the Constant Watch short, Alan Curtis Williams moved on to write the feature version of the same story.
Due to the style of the film, none of the actors actually interacted with each other directly. Each was shot and recorded completely separately from everyone else and had to be directed to capture the energy given by actors who they only appeared to be speaking with.
While Sandra and Josh's lines were recorded in Ithaca, New York, Mr. Simmons' lines were recorded on UCLA's campus all the way in Los Angeles, California.
Scenes involving voice acting were always completed after acquiring footage from the same scene. That way, it would be easier for lines of dialogue to come together seamlessly as it was easier for voice actors to tailor their lines to match what was occurring onscreen than it was for actors on screen to modify their performance to account for the manner of speaking of voice actors that they never actually heard.
