Too much blur, not enough heat
lor_31 May 2017
Alternately titled "Playgirl Vol. 15", this early compilation of Playgirl TV content for Wicked Pictures release on DVD suffers from the equation of Romantic with soft-focus, that popular filming technique of old that never fails to irritate me (and my eyeballs). One segment was so blurry I was surprised it ever saw the light of day -NOTE: the director(s) and crew go uncredited.

Vic Sinister and Mario Rossi team up for an effective "Euro Rendezvous", later reissued in "Playgirl's Hottest: A Little Kink". Opening segment stars the cover models Johnny Castle and Penny Flame in an okay sci-fi ditty titled "Asstronaut" (how clever!), shot on an abstract spaceship interior set that probably was emulating "Alien" but looks closer to Corman's "Battle Beyond the Stars".

Dana Vespoli, still early in her career, makes a fine, exotic "Mata Hari", humped by Marcos Leon against a screen backdrop projecting and doubling the action. "Motorcycle" is one of the blurrier vignettes, using a bike as backdrop for Nick Manning, with extremely short hair for a change, dropping one of his innumerable loads upon a pre-boob job Melissa Lauren.

Odd segment out is the bonus scene "Poolside Paradise" which actually features some live dialog (rather than the pantomime approach for the rest of the show), and outdoor sex featuring the lovely Jenaveve Jolie serviced by Grant Michaels.
