The original five seasons were great.

For a very long time now I had wanted to watch this show (as I know the language) and all original five seasons were a blast to have seen, but then comes the new ones... I tried watching episode one of season six, however, I just couldn't stomach it (I did watch it in its entirety to see if it'd get better.. didn't).

While season six does feature the family cast from the original series, the rest is all different (yes, they did move to a new neighborhood), you could say it's an entirely different show altogether. It saddened me seeing that they brought back this show just to use it as a cashcow. Plus, it just looks and feels like a soap opera now so that's another reason I can't stand it.

Season 5 ended in 2011, and Season 6 aired in 2019 so it's a drastic difference of years and honestly, it didn't need a 6th, 7th, or 8th season.

That being said, forget the new seasons exist and just watch the original series (seasons 1-5).

Conta-me como foi. Should have a book

It's brilliant the way this show shows the problems, politic from before Salazar and after.

The problem about woman rights, were not much, the man was always right, smocking every were in the house, the driving, the pill.. The details of the door undle from the old house to the new house, the details from kitchen.. amazing.

They talked about Futre, Onda chock, o António Variações, zeca afonso and more.

The sckaming behind the house business, the music, the shows, the news from that time. It's a very good show. And doing more seasons with the original cast all grown up made me very happy. Thanks for this RTP1.
