I enjoyed the acting and story, but oh wow the sounds in this that they amplify for effect are grating on the misophonia.

No spoilers. Excellent acting throughout. Less dialogue in this episode. The company of actors here will keep your eyes glued to the screen. Kudos to the director & writers as well. Highly recommended.
This is by far the most engaging episode in the series.
Mélanie Laurent absolutely shines in this show as does the rest of the company of actors.
Well written and beautifully executed. My personal favourite in the series.

This would be my personal fave from this series. Most of the episodes had good stories but the actors (sometimes) didn't do the greatest job of selling their part. There were episodes that lacked cohesion and good direction.
Not with "The Silence". Brilliantly directed and acted. A little twist at the end was interesting as well.
An excellent episode to be sure.

This episode engaged my soul. The story is balancing humor and seriousness excellent. Again and again I was impressed by the creators not falling short by taking the easy way out in places where so many others would have and did so in the past. You are giving small glimpses of possible roads ahead for the story, you do want those glimpses to evolve and unfold. But when you are either withdrawn or surprised by something else, instead of feeling missed out it makes you even more absorbed. Brilliant acting by brilliant actors. In a series of great episodes this one is the star.

This had me roaring with laughter while watching. The episode begins a little slow, but the payoff is sublime. The writer clearly knew all about the pretentious aspect of meditation retreats and pin pointed them with surgical precision. It turns into a delightfully silent funny and refreshing episode within this series. As a meditation teacher, I am thrilled to have experienced pure joy watching it and grateful for not putting my students through such torture! Excellent.

This was quite possibly the most creative of all the episodes in Little America. I was riveted by the actors' performances. If you've ever experienced a silent retreat, you would recognize how quickly the world transforms once speaking stops. The slightest noise acquires significance. Primal instincts begin to surface, as this story tells it, with comic results. The actors had a rare opportunity to convey their characters without the use of dialogue for most of the story. This led to some of the most nuanced performances I've seen in a long time. Clearly I loved it.
