This series is beautiful. The sound is excellent too. However... I cannot truly appreciate the sound fully because I constantly want to mute my audio. David Schwimmer does an absolute trash job at narration/voice over. It is very obvious that he is reading/I am being read to. His jokes miss as well, but that could be because he is not doing a good job at narration. He definitely is no Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, or David Attenboro, or anyone who can actually read without it sounding like they are reading.

Very good show and great use of technology and CGI the narration is bland which is normally fine. But when you add the dry tasteless humor the narration a bit cringe. If I wanted a documentary with well fitted humor I'd watch zefrank1 on YouTube. The humor there combined with the explanation of various species is the perfect balance...matter of fact they should have hired him for the job and not Mr. David S.

It is really a good documentary with facts and problems largely unexplored before. The repeating cadres and narration are limited and not disturbing. The operator and the director have done a great job. The only bad choice IMHO is that of the narrator himself - David Schwimmer. Definitely not the best person to voice such a documentary and the jokes he gives are the worst ever. Yet it is a must see if you try your best and ignore the narrator's primitive humor.
Great Series .... HOBBIBLE choice of narration.

Completely enjoyed binge watching the Mysterious Planet series ...... EXCEPT for the narration of David S. His comments, beyond the factual, are offensive to any thinking watcher. How about you redo the whole series with a truly intellectual commentary. Schwimmer ruins the whole experience!!!!

Beautiful filmography ruined by David Schwimmer's voice and jokes that not a single viewer will find funny, especially with his dry narration and horrible comedic timing. Nothing about the writing and narration complements what could be a beautiful documentary.

Who could have made such a horrible voice-over casting decision? A relative? Simply put, David Schwimmer and his limp narration ruined the efforts of this production's beautiful photography. His absolutely listless reading revealed some of the script's repetition and sputtering. Many moments of beautiful photography and intelligent editing.
