I love cooking competitions so this seemed like a nice option. i did enjoy most of it because the challenges were creative and fun, but Angela made me cringe a lot. it's not the best because of production value but i had a nice time

10 for balance but good overall

Long story short it is a discount masterchef but Disney style. Not a lot of high stakes or anything. Also it is rather short. But the cooking competition with families as teams is really creative. The challenges and twists are basic but it's Disney. It's a much more positive environment with professional chefs from Disney judging each family's dish. Then each family competes for a Disney cruise. Overall an entertaining show on Disney+
Great families, fun food, horrible host

Angela Kinsey (the host) torpedoes the show before it can even walk by being one of the most annoying, fake-sounding, shouty, personality-less hosts I've ever watched. It's like she's always talking to hard-of-hearing 6 year olds she secretly resents.
Which is a shame, because otherwise the show is fun for Disney super-fans and young kids. Seeing the families explore Disney World for cooking inspiration, getting to know the parents and kids, watching them come together to make a Disney inspired dish, it's all good fun. Nothing genre-changing, but my score would probably double with a better host.

It is cheesy and sometimes annoying but also very enjoyable to watch. It is a good family show and it's very cool to see the different Disney themed dishes the families prepare. My siblings and I really love to watch it. hope it gets renewed for season 2!!
Low production value, awkward, mediocre

This show is a disappointment. It feels like a big afterthought, as if Disney realized they didn't have any exclusive original content on their service and threw this together in a weekend on a whim. I like the concept, but the editing is corny, the production value feels incredibly low, Angela (the host) is not very good and is very awkward, and the show in general is just kind of boring. As a fan of Disney and a big fan of cooking competitions, this one is a big swing and a miss for me.
Great cooking show for our family

I enjoy this show with my young children. They love cooking and all things Disney. They weren't interested in other cooking shows but this one got their attention and is great for their age group. The recipes are interesting and the way they match things to Disney movies makes it more fun for kids.
The challenges are short simple and fun then back to cooking so I think that works well. My girls cheer on their favourite team each episode.
Pretty bad

A feel good kind of show

I love watching this show, it inspires me quite a bit and gets me interested in foods. The families seem really great and I love watching them work together. However, Angela is rather annoying and I just can't like her no matter how hard I try.
Verging on Evil and teaching children the wrong way to be competitive

Warning: Spoilers
You see families use the 'wooden spoon' to try and destroy young children's dreams. This is awful, teaches children how to hurt people rather than fairplay in competition.
One such example is the very first episode when a family uses 'freeze' on the competing family to try and force their food to burn and destroy their competition.

First Season

The purpose of this show is to advertise Disney Parks, this is obvious....
Spending a third of the show showing the contestants walking towards camera, putting on their chef's coats, and the families introducing themselves multiple times.... it's not a fast moving show, and not very enjoyable.
Will see what season 2 is like, if there is one!
