Very Interesting Episode
thomastheartist26 November 2023
This episode begins with the iconic line "Once an engine attached to a train was afraid of a few drops of 🌧. Then comes the iconic line "It went into a tunnel and squeaked through it's funnel and didn't come out again". It's interesting as to how this episode introduces Sir Topham Hatt and of course Henry. It's also interesting as to how Henry is introduced in this episode as it's episode 3 of season 1 and Henry is the number 3 engine. I get that Henry feels afraid of the 🌧 due to the possibility of it ruining his paintwork but hiding in the tunnel got him nowhere. Even after the 🌧 stopped, Henry still stayed in the tunnel because he was afraid the 🌧 would start again. In fact, it didn't 🌧 for the remainder of the episode. You could say that Henry got more than he bargained for. In other words, after his resistance he was bricked up and stuck there which made him even more miserable as soot and dirt ruined his paintwork anyway. Henry must've dealt with anxiety which got the better of him. However, the next episode will be better for him.
