I honeslty can empathize with Thomas in this episode as he's truly had enough of shunting coaches for the bigger engines and one night he just rants about it and expresses his desire to see the world and the other engines don't care. Edward however feels sorry for Thomas and offers to switch jobs with him making Thomas happy. Thomas finally gets to pull a train which is Edward's goods train while Edward shunts coaches. I'm happy to see Thomas happy but it doesn't last long. Edward warns Thomas about the Troublesome Trucks and Thomas is too excited to listen. The excitement quickly dies down after the Troublesome Trucks push Thomas down the hill known as Gordon's Hill into Maron Station and he gently bumps into a set of buffers in the Goods Yard. Thomas feels sad for the rest of the episode as Sir Topham Hatt advises Thomas that he has lots to learn about frieght cars to shunt frieght cars in the yards so he can learn about them more and will then be a really useful engine. Once again, keep your smokebox up Thomas because brighter days are ahead of you.
