America has seen a slew of unconventional candidates run for political office recently. And with winners including wrestler-turned-governor Jesse 'The Body' Ventura and comedian-turned-senator Al Franken, Minnesota has certainly had its share.
In 'The Impaler,' filmmaker W.Tray White documents perhaps the most peculiar run for office yet: Unknown third party Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Jonathon Sharkey, whose 2006 campaign included his coming out as Satanic Dark Priest and plan to impale felons on the governor's mansion lawn.
