A bad movie that has is good set of comedic colours
likhitk9 January 2022
The Sujay character has single handedly spoilt this movie for me. A few comedy scenes are really good. Raj's monologue was inadvertently fitted in between a badly placed conversation. It's like they had some good ideas but couldn't connect the flow of the story. Nice time pass but missable.

Lost 2+ hours of my life

Can't believe this movie after watching Ondu motteya kathe. Literarily it's a disaster script, well, was there a script?. I'm sure no actors in this movie would like to recognize themselves in this movie ....a black mole on everyone who was involved in this movie. Very much ashamed to call this a Kannada movie.

One of the most stupid movies. First half was ok. Second half was unbearable. Got a headache.

No story few jokes here and there
rakshabn25 August 2019
The movie has no story but some jokes here and there. If you go with any high expectations for the movie it's a waste of time and money.

One of the worst movies ever seen
anandrajmk1 November 2019
This movie is an example of the bad art of movie making. The director's attempt at black comedy falls flat. Utterly boring and disappointing. The movie should have been titled as 'Prekshakara Mele Brahmastra'.

A rollercoaster ride of rib-tickling dark comedy, worth a watch!
ConfusedRoulette17 August 2019
This film re-introduces Raj Shetty's simplistic character representing the common man from 'Ondu Motteya Kathe' (OMK) released in 2017 and more specifically shows how he overcomes his role in OMK. However the genre is completely different here and there is no connection between the two films. The director-cum-actor Sujay Shastry has explored the genre of dark comedy quite well in his debut directorial! The film will also have a sequel to it as hinted at the end.

The film begins with a software engineer, Gubbi narrating his story which basically forms the entire plot of the film, until the climax. Gubbi begins to worry as everyone pesters him to get married. Eventually he meets a girl called Purple Priya and they decide to get engaged. His crazy friend Naani, keeps playing spoilsport. Another crazy don, Robinhood enters the picture by kidnapping Purple Priya! What ensues is a rollercoaster ride full of confusion and comedy of errors!

The film has a humorous tone with many rib-tickling dialogues sure to entertain you! The music is also impressive, comprising of some melodious tracks. The first half is an absolute treat to watch however the film begins to become a tad boring in the second half with repetitive comedy. The length of the film also could have been shorter.

The film scores really high on the casting of actors. Sujay Shastry's brilliant acting as a crazy & wierd guy, Raj Shetty's simplistic acting, Girish Shivanna's excellent splastick humour along with Pramod Shetty, Aruna Balraj, Manjunath Hegde, Shobraj & Babu Hirannaiah's wonderful performances will have you delighted! Kavita Gowda has very less screen space but she too delivers.

All in all, this movie is an enjoyable, dark comedy oriented rollercoaster ride and is worth watching if you want to spend some time laughing out loud!

Avoid the movie
rohitakshay-265657 October 2019
Being one of the guys who wants to support Kannada movies, decided to watch this on a Sunday. It quickly spiraled from bad to worse. Except for the guy who played the inspector role and the guy who plays the friend role, rest of the folks acting is mediocre. But nothing can beat the worst storyline. Cant even call it mindless comedy as there was no comedy in it

Just a casual watch only. Do not expect logic, the lead role is excellent. His comic sense is too good.

Sujay Shastry's role and acting is pathetic!!
preetham-navale3 December 2019
I stopped watching this movie half way purely because of Sujay Shastry's nonsensical acting. Not sure what was the whole point of his role. Definitely wasn't comical if that was the intent. On the other hand it was completely annoying and ruined the movie. Remove him from the movie and it is still watchable I would say. I'm glad I wasn't watching this in the theatre.

Pleasant to watch.
deekshithrshetty20 August 2019
This movie is not based on typical story line, there is no story to be frank, movie revolves here and there without any logic. But its fun to watch. Raj Shetty has nailed his role. His dialogue delivery made everyone to laugh, his innocent expression through the film is commendable. Nothing can be better than this if you just wanna go and laugh in the theater.

A Comedy Flick that's got a fresh touch!
srinandahr15 August 2019
Gubbi Mele Brahmastra is a hilarious movie. One of the pure comedy during these days. Sujay Shastri is an underrated gem! Raaj B Shetty performs in every frame. There are few issues with Screenplay. A must watch!

Few scenes are very funny
tejasbkrishna25 August 2023
The director is very creative and few scenes are really funny. This is a timepass movie, so don't expect strong story, logic and all that. Watch if you want to relax and enjoy.

Especially, the 1st half scenes are quite funny. However, it drags in the 2nd half and eventually you keep waiting for it to end. I really liked it as I watched this online. Might have been a bit boring if I had watched this in the theater.

However, we need to encourage such attempts. It requires lot of courage to try such movies with a lose storyline but a creative & funny screenplay.

All in all, I would highly recommend watching this movie if you like comedy.
