Finally back to its old style

This three parter plus the Cabin is back to the best days of the show. All this season has been quite appalling like a bad soap opera exactly how it's never been from the beginning and why it's such a great show. It handled flashbacks perfectly and had genuine surprises. But this season those flashbacks that were handled so well and at perfect intervals went out with going between time trips every few seconds. It was terrible but these episodes are once again doing the job perfect. And we are seeing actual necessary story arcs to give us insights another thing from this season which got lost in endless time flashbacks and meaningless, unnecessary new characters and storylines. Hope it continues this way now until end of this season which I haven't been able to watch until now and will watch week to week now.

Randall exudes all this bravado at times. He has this "I can handle anything" bit going for him. It's a sham because he knows how fragile he is, deep down. After the break in, he becomes a wreck, completely absorbed with his security system. It is synched with his phone and every time there is the slightest thing happening on the phone, he starts to fall apart. Not a very good thing for a person people need to trust. Of course, we've seen this behavior before and are not surprised. When Malik's father comes to him and admits he has actually been in therapy, he digs down and pulls up his defenses and ignores the advice. His dreams are wiping him out. His running is an interesting metaphor.
