The highest-charting episode of the nineteenth series, reaching 17th place in the charts. Although Episode #19.4 (1996) had slightly higher ratings than this edition's 10.73 million viewers, it didn't achieve as high a chart position.
Joe Pasquale's involvement in this edition was met with a negative review in the Liverpool Echo (21st December 1995) with columnist Peter Grant writing: "Back to my bruised ribs, I have discovered that it hurts when I laugh. So no problems there when I discovered Joe Pasquale on this embarrassingly-scripted show. How did this infantile bore ever get on the box? He sounds like one of the Crankies (sic) on helium with the script of Little and Large."
