Best episode of the season so far
Cuddles1001 November 2019
The whole plot and story line of this season has been pretty dismal to be honest and is definitely the worst season so far! I personally can't see how any horror/slasher movie fan could like this season it's basically just making a mockery of many films I loved during childhood! However AHS have had poor seasons or story arcs within seasons before but the one thing they have always had in the past is the highest caliber of actors to get them out any hole but obviously not until this episode! The return of Lily rabe just goes to proove how having good actors can make any story shine no matter how bad it is and not only that it makes the more mediocre actors shine too! I mean that Leslie Grossman she the wrong sort of actor for a season like this she just makes me cringe every time she is on screen! Billie lourde has been pretty good this season but has definitely been let down by the characters around her! The creators had obviously watched stranger things while making this season since them going out of their way to mention neverending story they probably should have paid more attention on how they managed to portray the 80's in stranger things and stole that! This season could have been great they had so much to choose from in that era its a shame!

Best yet

By far the best episode of the season for me. Don't want to say it's because of Lily Rabe, but if the shoe fits..... This episode just seemed better directed, written, and acted than it's predecessors. Dialogue between the characters was meaningful and actually had strong emotions attached to it. This episode was more 'serious' in tone as well which was a big plus for me as I want to be able to believe what's happening on screen no matter how bizarre it is. Lily Rabe really showed off her talent this episode and the emotion/realness behind it is something I think this season has been lacking. Not to put any of the other actors down as they've all been fine, but I honestly can't imagine any of them being able to pull off a performance like Lily Rabe did this episode. Rumour has it that this was the role Sarah Paulson was supposed to play and she would have been perfect as well, but I'm glad we get to see Lily Rabe whose been more on the back burner for the last couple seasons. I really enjoyed the scenes between John CL and Lily Rabe and Angelica Ross & Emma Roberts. Was also nice to see Dylan McDermott return, though was it really necessary? I don't think so, but I'm glad it was there as those scenes were very well done too. It's odd to think there's only two episodes left, so it'll be interesting to see what new twists they manage to pack in as clearly, if this episode is any indication, they're not stopping any time soon.

Overall, I enjoyed every second so a 10/10 for me.

Lily Rabe is an AHS legend.
chris_hindlaugh1 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Lily Rabe took the whole spotlight on this insanely American horror story as hell episode. This season has been awesome but this episode felt as good as season 1-4 horror story episodes.

I still feel like there a big gut punch twist coming, maybe in episode 9?

Back on track!
hnt_dnl31 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Thank you, AHS writers! I was worried after that 100th episode disaster the rest of the season would fizzle out down the stretch. Then you put out this borderline masterpiece as a follow up. Much like it's predecessor, this episode "The Lady in White" started with a fantastic scene. And much UNLIKE it's predecessor, it actually backed it up with great scene after great scene. With parallel subplots involving Jingles and Brooke, this episode was focused and confident start to finish. As opposed to Episode 100, which was all over the narrative map with plotholes galore and way too many forgettable filler characters, Lady in White kept it simple focusing only on a handful of characters.

John Carroll Lynch and Emma Roberts were excellent and had great chemistry with the respective co-stars of their subplots Lily Rabe (as the episode's title character) and Dylan McDermott (as a sleazy wannabe serial killer). Rabe in particular was smashing in this episode and I seriously believe she will garner Emmy recognition next year as guest actress for her superb work in this one. Dare I say that this episode had a more serious vibe than all other episodes up to this point, but there were still those moments of wit that broke the tension. As has been the case all season, the music accompanying the scenes was spot on. A brilliant and twisted homage to both Friday the 13th and The Hitcher, this might end up being the best episode of this great season.

Best Episode Yet

Not going to spoil it but Lily Rabe's return is amazing. She takes on her Ahs roles so naturally and as a result improved this episode dramatically. This season is turning into one of my favourites.

White Lady
jpismyname1 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In Lady in White, the dead counselors are trying to seek revenge. Brooke and Donna also team up and plan to kill Margaret. But the best storyline here is Benjamin's past. John Carroll Lynch gives an outstanding, Emmy-worthy performance. Another Emmy-worthy performance is done Lily Rabe, and I got so excited by her surprise appearance. I wish she will come back on the next two episodes. Her acting as Benjamin's mom is really frightening and perfect. Meanwhile, I'm also loving Brooke and Donna's friendship.

Lily Rabe
bgfelixx5 November 2019
Lily comes to save the serie. Ins't to bad at This time, but wasn't emotional. Now with Lily, the emotional comes with fierce and powefull perfomance of her. As mysty, as Mary Eunice, as Montgomery, she always hold the stick and elevated the material.

The Lady in White
bobcobb3014 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The mother character was not quite what this show needed, but the one played by Dylan McDermott added another villain to the landscape and some entertainment value. We hadn't seen much of anyone outside the core cast, so shaking that up a bit was needed.

FINALLY an excellent episode this season!
Ritchie071 November 2019
Great episode! I was absolutely enjoying every second. Lily Rabe is always incredible but this may have been her most impressive outing with AHS yet. She blew me away. Loving this new badass Emma Roberts. This episode alone made me excited about this season again--for the first time since the pilot episode grabbed my interest.

Camp Golden Star

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Camp Golden Star, it is 1948 and Lavinia owns the camp. Benjamin (Jingles) is Lavinia's son. Bobby, Benjamin's brother got killed by a boat. Lavinia goes crazy when she sees it. Bruce shot down the Police Officer, he died afterwards. Jingles got attacked by Pete, Larry and Keith. Jingles tells the story of Camp Golden Star to the ghosts. Jingles killed his mother in 1948. Lavinia arranged that Margaret killed those kids in 1970. Bruce hits Donna's car with a police car, Rita and Brooke are wounded. Donna strangles Bruce with a rope. Richard slits open Limahl's troath and killes all the band members. Jingles stabs himself, he died afterwards. Jingles is a ghost now. Solid episode of American Horror Story Season 9, this episode was not good. It didn't helped the storyline further.

What a convoluted mess
NicoleL881 November 2019
Been watching this show since the beginning. I haven't enjoyed every season, and this isn't an exception.

The plot of this season is an absolute mess. Very poorly written, twists and turns thrown in at every junction that are not entertaining and just cheap and absolutely ridiculous. This episode takes the cake in that regard.

I expect to suspend my disbelief watching a show like this, but this is asking far too much.

I expect the finale of this season to be just as bad as last seasons.

Not much else to say except that David Carroll Lynch is the only saving grace of the season.

Lily Rabe - Amazing
Greegz7631 July 2022
Lily Rabes' performances in AHS are always amazing. In this season, she steals every episode she's in. AHS is at its best when it brings back original cast members in new and exciting roles. The longevity of the series, in my opinion, is certainly attributed to this.

White lady us behind it all
mohamadacma7 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So, turns out, the source of all evil is the white lady, the mother if mr jingles. The story goes back 20 years before the 1st massacre in the camp. Mr jingle had a brother and he couldn't help him when he was chopped up to pieces by the motor blade of a boat nearby. The mother used to love this boy the most. So she avenged her death by killing all those related to the incident and even going after her son mr jingles. Mr jingles learned from his now dead mother that she was the one who whispered to that murderous lady to kill everyone and blame it on mr jingles. So she is the true criminal, after all. Emma Robert's character(my favorite!) Is now haunting around with her friend. They get chased by a murderer who tries to take a ride with them to later finish them off but unbeknownst to him, emma's character has some experience under her belt with suçu criminals. So in the end, with the help of her friends, tie him to a tree and cut off his fingers. Emma robert is really lovely in this season. The way she moves the muscles of her face, her acting is incredible. 10/10 to Emma!

S9.E7 - Beautiful Episode [9/10]
panagiotis199315 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
(S9. E7) My Live Reaction / Review for American Horror Story Season 9 Episode 7 ''The Lady in White''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Im so glad Brooke is alive. It seems like Brooke wants revenge and I don't blame her after everything Margeret did to her. Who is this stranger that killed the police officer? Mr. Jingles' mother is a ghost too? Cant wait for Ramirez and Mr. Jingles to fight again. Mr. Jingles just killed himself? What the hell? I wanted to watch him fight Ramirez. Even as a ghost he can still kill Ramirez so that's good. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

Camp Golden Star

BOBBY!!!! YOU KILLED MY BOBBY!!!! Little bit too much of an overact on the opening to me. Good to see Lily Rabe back tho. -1 Star

Nurse Rita rescues Brooke....

Goof. California licence plates on Donna's car are not from 1980's -1 Star.

Jingles gets capped by the ghosts. And then tells them about when BOBBY DIED!!!

Some good stuff with Brooke. And Jingles gets an update from his mother, Lavinia. Jingles is ready to confront Ramirez. +1 Star for being ready to face Satan!!!

4/10.
