- The larger than life Chawner family, Philip, Audrey, their daughters Sam and Emma, are one of the most complained families in the UK, racking up over 600 complaints from angry neighbours, ending in 3 convictions and an eviction. In 2000 they move to a quiet suburban street in Blackburn. But a non stop barking dog, tv on full blast, screaming family rows, constant foul mouthed abuse and fights with some of the locals soon have the neighbourhood up in arms. But the Chawners claim they are the victims, picked on for being too fat.
It takes 7 years and over 500 complaints before the family finally land up in court, narrowly missing out on eviction after promising to mend their ways. 24 year old Emma Chawner then decides to put her voice to the ultimate test- auditioning for X-Factor. The neighbours suffer hours of painful karaoke rehearsals at all hours before Simon Cowell dismisses Emma for singing like a baby and turning up in a wedding dress! The noisy bid for 15 minutes of fame leads to a further 134 neighbour complaints. The Chawners land up in court once more and are finally evicted. After claiming they're forced to live in their family car for several weeks, they find a new home. But soon, they're back in trouble again...
In Clapham, psychotherapist Annie Reed Henderson has turned her home into the perfect sanctuary to live and work.
