John Bloom (aka Joe Bob Briggs) filmed his scene on the same day he filmed scenes for Cryptids (2021), which was a year before the rest of the movie was filmed. He couldn't remember his lines and ended up improvising much of his dialogue.
Sara Barnhart's house was actually filmed at a life-size replica of the Myers House from John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) located in Hillsborough, North Carolina and is the personal residence of horror fan Kenny Caperton.
The movie playing at the drive-in is The Sleeper (2012), which also stars John Bloom (aka Joe Bob Briggs).
Scenes at Tape Deck Video were filmed in Nostalgia Video, which was built in the basement of the owner's home. The video store is popular on social media and even has an online store but the physical location is not open to the public. Writer/director/editor Justin M. Seaman contacted the owner and asked for permission to film there. He originally declined, until he found out it was for a sequel to The Barn (2016) and eagerly accepted.
The exterior of the sorority house was the same location where the "Old Hag" segment of the horror anthology 10/31 (2017) was filmed. It was a completely separate location from the interior scenes.
