Scratch the surface.

It's the day if the funeral, and Tom gives up to five the eulogy failing to mention Kate at all.

It is becoming more and more intriguing, after twenty minutes of part one, you could have been forgiven for thinking this lot lived the perfect lives, in total harmony, but naturally all a front.

Fans of Broadchurch will definitely enjoy this, and not just for the wonderful David Tennant, but the vibe of it, the mystery surrounding the tragic events.

Tennant continues to shine, he looks so menacing, what an actor.

Hooked. 8/10

Another decent episode here. The show has a solid basic plot, but it is just not elite enough. There's not a fast enough storytelling pace or immediate threat in my mind.

So Deadwater Fell is a four part series and so far there are only two suspects.

It can only be the wife Kate who has died or Tom. In the case of the latter we have to throw in a suicide attempt during the act as he ended up in hospital.

The constant flashbacks just adds unnecessary layers and confusion. We find out more about the affair Tom had with his neighbour Jess.

In this episode Jess confesses to her partner Steve that she had an affair with Tom and felt manipulated by him. Steve ever so unprofessional as a policeman, reacts by telling her that Tom is a suspect for killing his family.

There is nothing here I have seen in stuff like Broadchurch. So unless there is a twist I really do wonder what does the next two parts have to offer?
