Sometimes I just don't get Gordon's decisions.
At the start of the lobster challenge, he had Josh sit out since in a previous taste challenge Josh couldn't identify lobster from scallops. If anything, Josh is the one who should have been in the lobster challenge, 'cause he needs more tasting time with lobster.
Perhaps the most confusing thing is why he punished the blue team this episode. In his own words the results of the challenge were so close it was a tough call. Had this been an Olympic event, that would have been a Gold and Silver medal awarding, yet loosing by a sliver the blue team gets punished. I just don't get it. Not only should there not have been a punishment (that doesn't necessarily mean they should have gotten a reward, mind you) but they certainly should not have had to get he punishment they did: wading threw all that trash. Why do I say that? Think again: they had a close second place -- not an epic lose. If anything those services from the first two or three episodes were the ones that should have results in the trash punishment. Rock was right to be pіssed off. And that was really a low blow and unclassy thing to have Rock, or any member of the blue team for that matter, to drive over to the photo shoot to pick up more trash.
