- The episode opens with Sam's recurring vision (the same as episode 1), which has him alone in the belly of the watchtower surrounded by gore and ripping his guts out. Later, Sam is tripping on acid and once again imagines that his guts are spilling out.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- The island is in the midst of a "dry run" of a music festival and it turns into a full-scale bacchanal, with revelrous drinking. Sam and Jess drop acid and things get very trippy for both of them, especially Sam. Sam remarks that he "hasn't done this since he was a kid" and he and Jess sit waiting for "something to happen." Sam has a disturbing and surreal trip, that includes seeing twisted faces.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- People who are easily freaked out by blood will have to flinch a few times in this episode. Some of the blood is real, most is imagined, but the visceral effect is undeniable.
