This is probably a fan favorite by many among season 2. This pretty much nails Thomas' personality, him being boastful and cocky. That's his season 2 personality in a nutshell. The crash is excellent, the music is awesome and it contains wonderful narration from both Ringo Starr and George Carlin. This is also my favorite season 2 episode with a great crash, excellent humor and loved by a lot of fans. Definitely one of Thomas's best episode and really memorable; such a good episode.

I personally find this episode to be very disappointing because it didn't end well for Thomas. Poor Thomas, being blamed for someone else's mistake. He may have been boastful to Percy and Toby about the idea of being able to run without a driver but he didn't cause the accident himself, it was a careless cleaner who's responsible for Thomas' accident. I hated seeing Thomas in trouble. The worst part of this episode is when The Stationmaster's Wife yells at Thomas. I mean, I understand that their breakfast is ruined and I understand why she yelled at Thomas considering that she didn't know the accident wasn't Thomas' fault. Then Donald and Douglas arrive to rescue Thomas and I thank them for doing so. Also, Percy and Toby are seen to be laughing at Thomas which isn't nice. I get that they tried warned him about the dangers of running without a driver but it doesn't mean they should laugh at him. Even Sir Topham Hatt is cross with Thomas but he wouldn't have been if he knew about the cleaner. I think there should've been an episode in which Thomas is 😡 at the cleaner for causing his accident. Overall, this episode was quite disappointing 😔.
