- The Beagle Boys steal Gyro's teleportation device to get to the Scrooge's gold.
- The Beagle Boys break out of prison, and end up tunneling out near Gyro Gearloose's place. While spying on him, the three are witness to his latest invention: a machine that can transport items from one place to another. After spraying an item with a special chemical, the affected item can then be teleported by the machine. The Beagle Boys trick Gyro into leaving his home, and steal his invention, planning to use it to steal Scrooge's fortune.
Broadcasting a fake TV commercial, the Beagles get Scrooge to purchase the chemical, claiming that it prevents money-moths from eating money. Scrooge ends up spraying it on his fortune, and before long: the Beagles have teleported it to their hide out. Along with the money, Huey, Dewey and Louie have also been teleported to the hideout.
The Beagles give chase, but are then caught when the teleportation gun falls into the nephew's hands, who send them back to jail. The boys then return Scrooge's fortune, just as Gyro stops by. Gyro gets back his latest invention, and tells of his plans to invent a floatation ray.
Scrooge's imagining of Gyro's next invention sending his fortune flying through the air sends him chasing after Gyro, forbidding him from creating another such invention.
