The set design for this film made by Nehad Bahgat is considered one of the largest and most famous in history of Egyptian cinema. It was built in a copper studio to be similar to the reality of these buildings and their accurate and complex details.
This is a remake of the Egyptian black and white movie El Fetewa (1957), with a change in the market activity and location of the events, where the story of the original film was set in a market of vegetables and fruits, and this film was set in the fish market.
