Superb.

This felt like a bit of a deviation away from the main story somehow, it's more focussed on the personal lives of Cormoran and Robin.

Perhaps the most accomplished episode of Strike I've seen, I thought this was absolutely terrific, I loved it, and that was largely due to the acting of Holliday Grainger, she was superb here. She was awesome as Becca, it took a few minutes to realise it was her, the scene with her husband was terrific.

Will we get more from Anette Badland? That seemed like such a miniscule part for her.

I thought it was tremendous, 9/10.

Splendid job

Warning: Spoilers
I would include that this review is for entire Lethal White production, and am quite happy they decided to extend this from 2 to 4 episodes (unlike last one, quite rushed) to tell full story. The old "trip to the loo, sneak about and find valuable clues" trick is a tad old, as is the continuing adventures of Strikes bad leg, but aside from that, solid acting, production value and cinematography. Robin, Holliday's face is so very expressive, and the ability to cry onscreen is not a talent everyone does convincingly. Strike has excellent subtle expressiveness though most of his act is deadpan and poker faced. I can certainly feel his discomfort as he lies there being told he is loved and not responding, or when she comes back to lower the boom on her being ghosted after a bit of a make up. I am happy the whole series doesn't hinge on the soap opera between Strike and Robin but their chemistry is compelling none the less. Bravo to her playing a badd ass as well, such range.

Lethal White: Part 3
Prismark108 September 2020
I was more impressed with Holliday Grainger in this episode. Robin doing some undercover work dressed as a goth.

Then saying goodbye to her husband as she calls time on her marriage. However that taxi ride at the end. I am sure that was no random actress who turned up for a short scene.

The third episode gave some scope to the book the story was based on. All of a sudden with the death of Jasper Chiswell, there are more characters introduced with weird names.

The Chiswell family are greedy as well as dysfunctional. It certainly is a case of Knives Out.

At times I thought the labyrinth mystery took a back seat with Robin and Cormoran's unravelling personal lives.

Unconvincing

The female lead is generally unconvincing through these dramas, and is illustrated by her failure to act any differently when dressed as a goth.
