Missing drugs in a hospital would be treated as a huge issue, that's what happens here, when a box of pethidine goes missing, sending Joyce into a frenzy.
It feels like a huge effort has gone into this fourth series, this is a terrific episode, it's very funny, I love the situation, and if ever an episode was made to showcase the talents of Nicola McAuliffe this is it, a great actress, with a terrific voice, she's a fabulous actress.
There's a slightly more serious tone to this one, worked well against the humour, nice to see a bigger involvement for Joyce.
