Doctor Olsen causes a stir.

Simon's on holiday, so the hospital has called in a Locum, the dishy Doctor Olsen. It's Sheila's birthday and she's not happy, Doctor Haslam has bought her flowers.

How often do you watch a second episode of a show, and find everything so incredibly well established? No settling down was needed, this is a very funny second part. We know the characters inside out already, McAuliffe is fantastic as Sabatini, Preston also has terrific timing.

Sharp dialogue as in the previous episode, great one liners. 8/10

The Locum

It is Sheila Sabatini's birthday and she is still in a foul mood.

It temporarily improves when Jonathan buys her flowers.

The rapprochement does not last long when Sabatini makes a sexist comment about men in the operating theatre.

So Sabatini then tries to make Jonathan jealous by flirting with the Swedish locum but then she finds out that he is married.

Second episode in and I'm still not sold. Sabatini's sexist comments just ages it. The test is, would this have pass muster if a man said the same thing about women!

At least the series does paint a picture of the NHS on the edge with everyone rushed off their feet.
