First appearance of Rita Littlewood since 2nd December 1964 although the character was re-introduced and credited initially as "Mrs. Bates" and her connection with the character of eight years previously was only disclosed slowly as she became a permanent fixture in the programme. She was first credited again under the name of "Littlewood" in the episode of 26th June, 1972.
