Warning: Spoilers
I almost stopped watching this, multiple times, because this "documentarian" actually infuriated me. Disgusted me. I couldn't (still don't) believe this woman & the...ignorance; the naivete; stupidity (Idk, all those?), that was oozing out her mouth was mind-blowing. This ADULT KOREAN woman, who actually has relatives that FLED from N.K, sounded like she was denying, defending even; the North. Koeans' "gov't/dictatorship/regime, almost romancing the notion of them & just hanging out, I guess. She wanted see w/ her "own eyes" whether all the things said about them was actually true. I guess the rock she was living under didn't allow for any news 2 enter. Hey; just like N Korea!! 😂 I guess that's y she didn't hear about the rampant starvation or how kids sneak into China to get a couple bucks & bring it back to try & feed their families or starve to death. But she did pack 2 or 3 "gifts for any kids (out in the country?!) she came across. They don't want toys, they want FOOD!! And why TF would she think the "master(s) of deceit & propaganda" wouldn't or couldn't fake a subway + train to show tourists?! Her prowess of observation is a source of great concern; she didn't notice that there were prob 2 cars anywhere? The WHOLE CAPITAL is fake! All the ppl, kids too, are trained "performers"! .hen; she filmed w/ no concern, no secret squirrel techl despite being told when to + not to & of course she got popped. Guess what she did nxt; fu**in CRIED! Like a 3 yr old sent to time out. There are countless docs on the subject & they actually do give great info & insight on that hellhole & the suffering they've tried so hard to hide from the world. They're better. No doubt.
