Chlodwig : So ungrateful.
Gretta : So we are agreed - we shall never marry each other?

[Gretta and Chlodwig spit into their hands and shake on the agreement]
Dwight : [back in present time] Wait. All that happened while I was in the dirt? How long was I out?

[Chlodwig has been recounting his experience capturing Gretta and hanging her by her wrists over a fire-breathing dragon's lair]
Hexela : You poor thing!
Chlodwig : She, a poor thing? Have you any idea how difficult it was to hoist your person over that dragon pit?
Dwight : You never say that to a lady.
Gretta : Thank you.

[Dwight and Gretta's kiss undoes the Champion spell, causing Chlodwig to awaken after a thousand years of unconsciousness]
Chlodwig : [ripping off the vines that had grown over him] Get this stuff off of me. Now what was I about?
Chlodwig : [pulls a drawing of Gretta from his gauntlet] There you are my love. Thought you could hide, little goose? I'm coming my darling and won't you be surprised.
Gretta : [back in current times] Hold just a moment. You carried around my portrait?
Chlodwig : It was a long time ago.
Dwight : Still creepy, dude.
Chlodwig : Don't interrupt. I'm telling a story!

[In a flashback to when the principals first met. Chlodwig defeats Gretta in a swordfight and has her at his mercy]
Dwight : Okay, okay! Hey, we all know violence is never the answer, right?
Gretta : Save your breath, Champion.
Chlodwig : Champion? Him?
Gretta : Sadly, yes.
Chlodwig : This spineless tadpole?
Dwight : [returning to the present] Can we not do this again?
