F! Ken Hypocrite Ken Starr
richellenls20 October 2021
This season has done a fantastic job on bringing the Clinton/Lewinsky events to light!! It's absolutely ludicrous what they did to Monica, especially Ken Starr!!! The way he/they went after her to get Clinton is beyond unethical and just plain wrong! Also side note, I have to say Sarah Paulson is an amazing actor and did a phenomenal job as Linda Trip!!

Episode 7

Warning: Spoilers
It is crazy to think Monica was this naive, but prior to stories like this coming out I guess you wouldn't expect something. Still hard to believe a nation treated a victim like this.

The party of we must believe women
milamj0921 October 2021
The democrats true colors are on full display in this series. The reviewers blaming ken Starr is hilarious. Perjury is a crime in this country. If you want to destroy our legal system, then pass new laws.

Clinton was sued for sexual harassment. Asking about other people he sexually harassed is perfectly relevant in a deposition. Clinton is a lawyer. He lied and he knew he lied. He had to pay Paula Jones hu dress of thousands also. He should have been removed from office.

Excellent show. I love Clive owens portrayal.

A big reveal the world now knows Bill and Monica's dirty little secret!
blanbrn21 October 2021
This episode 7 of season 3 of "American Crime Story: Impeachment" called "The Assassination of Monica Lewinsky" was by far one of the better one's of this season. As it's so special as for the first time the news media breaks the story and the news about Bill and Monica's affair! Plus we see the sharks from the right out to get Bill, and plus the depositions and interviews that President Bill Jeff gives in which he denies everything as his pride is to much to give up. And interesting was seeing how political advisor Dick Morris advised him, as it never ends with Paula Jones and other ladies still making claims and not backing down. Finally towards the end for one of the first times in the series we see Hillary(the great Edie Falco) as now Mrs. Clinton must believe Bill like a trophy wife and look the other way and come full circle and stand by her man. Excellent episode that sets up for a final three that should be super, great, and excellent.

Shame on everybody
mls418220 October 2021
Shame of the so called left, the lying, sexually inept Bill and his harassment of women, taking advantage of vulnerable girls, having no respect for his marriage vows or the dignity of his position.

Shame on the so called right. Ken Starr, et al, for going about such petty means to get Clinton out of office by bullying a young lady and dragging the entire country through the mud.

I'm glad the public is seeing what was done to Monica. Lets hope one day the American public and the world can have respect for our leaders.

"I have never met Paula Jones"
evening18 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When it finally goes public that President Clinton has had a dalliance with young intern Monica Lewinsky, he denies that he was ever alone with "that woman," and implies that she has problems.

"I did not tell anyone to not tell the truth," he sputters in lawyer-ese. Meanwhile, we've observed him "refreshing (his) memory" with his secretary, about how he was never alone with Monica in the Oval Office. Er, OK...

"There is not an improper relationship," Clinton states robotically. "This is not a sexual relationship." Yeah, we get the present tense.

"If that's not true, that means someone made this up," Clinton's told, and he tries to slither away: "I've got to get back to the work of the country." Oh yeah, what a workaholic he's been!

As a shell-shocked Monica, relying on the counsel of a malpractice attorney, holes up in the Watergate with her mom, she's morbidly glued to the TV as confidants from her past step up to malign her.

Linda "I-did-the-right-thing" Tripp, who exposed the whole thing with secretly taped phone chats, is not becoming the hero she envisioned. John Goodman plays her on Saturday Night Live, and she's receiving hate mail. Press mobs keep the ex-buddies prisoner in their homes.

When Clinton looks his wife in the eye and denies that anything happened -- "It turns out she was kind of troubled. They moved her out of the West Wing as soon as they saw how she was behaving" -- Hillary shifts to damage-control/enabler mode, standing by her man.

This is a fascinating episode. The only thing missing is a scene with savvy publisher/Tripp adviser Lucianne Goldberg, whose sardonic commentary has been a highlight of the series. I hope she pops back into the action soon.

The Assassination of Monica Lewinsky
Prismark1025 January 2022
It has taken episode 7 for the Clinton/Lewinsky affair to hit the media headlines.

Both have been embarrassingly exposed. Bill Clinton also has to mention the scandal to Hillary and to the press interviewers.

Linda Tripp thinks this would be the end of Bill Clinton, he will have to resign. She believes that she has done her duty for her country.

Of course Bill comes out fighting. Hillary stands by him. He made some clever use of words, not technically a lie. He also thrashes Lewinsky as someone who was obsessed by Bill. She was stalkerish.

The episode comes across well as it brings the story together. The one that entered the public consciousness.

Until now the series was really treading water.

Missed casting
juliepierceharris26 June 2022
Who was the dialect coach for Edie Falco and Clive Owen?!?!?!?!? They were horrible!! Both real life Clintons have very distinct accents. Owen and Falco COMPLETELY missed the mark! And who cast Falco in a told that doesn't match the age of the real life Hillary at the time. SNL hits the mark better than Ryan Murphy. I love Murthy's stuff, usually. However, what makes Bill Clinton so distinct is not only his ego, but his very strong southern drawl. Phil Hartman did the best Bill Clinton ever.

Now I get it
trudjoh11 November 2021
People think this TV show is great because it trashes Clinton and Monica (and I guess Linda?). It may be tantalizing but it is terrible acting, awful makeup (if I were Paula Jones I would sue) and the lady who plays Monica comes close to being a terrible actor. And the portrayal of Linda Tripp has to be the worst. Facts may be right (guess so?) but it is still bad TV.
