Great episode by modern standards

This episode is a great example of an enjoyable modern Simpsons episode. It has a well written storyline, good jokes and the story is interesting. Of course, it is far from a great episode by The Simpsons' standards, but it does show that despite being 26 years since its peak, the show still has some life left in it.

Really The best episode in a long time!

This episode was really great. I liked that the story began right away without long intro and couch gag. It was funny.

Interesting idea, terribly written

Another episode which just exaggerates well-known characters into becoming parodies of themselves. Lisa nowadays is content on just ruining everything for everybody else. Marge for some reason is upset that Homer is getting along well with Patty's new girlfriend. Why is that a bad thing? Surely you want your family to get on well together. Stupid.

And there's no way Milhouse's parents would be able to afford to go to Costa Rica annually. So the whole plot point is flawed from the get go.

The plot was pretty lousy. The episode was set in Costa Rica, and having been there myself, I know how amazing the country is. I was excited to watch this episode. Sadly you saw hardly any of the country in this episode, as it was mostly set in hotel rooms! What a waste! Not even one sloth seen, I thought that was, like, the whole point of visiting Costa Rica.

I feel so embarrassed seeing people say in the reviews that this is the best episode this season / in a long time. That says a lot about the quality of the show these days. If THIS is the best the writers have to offer, then I weep.

This episode might be my favorite in this season so far

This episode really gives each family member & other characters a part in the episode and it's in the right tune of how their characters would act. The episode is a bit more Marge/lisa/Patty focused but as i said before, everyone gets a part in the episodes. (I brought this up only cause if you have a bias to liking those characters in episodes, you might like this episode more cause of that.) This episodes is quite funny and I think people who watched the first run of the show should give it a chance if they were going to jump back on the show. :)
