Don't take it too seriously!

Warning: Spoilers
This is a bit of a sendup of TV thrillers/murder mysteries/soap operas. It's a mistake to expect it to be plausible. Just relax and enjoy it and be prepared for some extraordinary twists (some totally absurd). It made me laugh out loud several times because of its convolutions. Generally I say I don't like a series if none of the characters is appealing, and they don't have much to commend them in truth, but in this story it really didn't matter. It reminded me of the much more serious and satisfying French film Tell No One with François Cluzot, and if you know that film you'll guess what I'm getting at, so perhaps I'd better shut up right now and say Yes to containing spoilers. But I wasn't that obvious, was I?

Pretty silly

It was ok, but the main female lead was excruciatingly annoying. Was I meant to like her or feel sorry for her? The male lead was also not very likeable.

The twists were a bit predictable but silly. The acting was decent but I wish it was 4 episodes instead of 6.

Entertaining potboiler

If you like a lot of plot twists, this is for you, but don't expect much if you give this a try. It's implausible, very silly in places, but fun to watch nevertheless.

Generous Rating

Warning: Spoilers
1 is a generous rating for this series. It should NOT be given another season! The premise of the story left much to be desire with a totally unlikable lead female character, Victorie', a totally self absorbed twit. She is more interested in a rekindled relationship that ended 20 years earlier which was far more important to her than a loving husband and her 2 sons. Willing to crap all over her family she aggressively pursues the lost love, who has been accused of murdering his wife. And to add to the ridiculous plot she is pregnant with the old flames baby. How she knows it's his is a mystery since she is sleeping with him and her cop husband, Samuel. Victorie' treats her husband like he was the offender. She has the affair and yet is portrayed as the victim throughout the series. As the sixth and last episode begins it is a year later than the end of the 5th episode. Long story short she is now living with the old flame and their new son and suffering from postpartum. She imagines killing her baby who is subsequently kidnapped. In yet the most bizarre twist, the murdered wife of lover boy is alive, staged her own death to frame hubby and kidnapped his baby. There are some stupid little side stories weaved into this plot that makes it even more unbelievable than the main plot. The main characters......the two adulterers, are unlikable and disgusting human beings.......but, they end up with their happily ever after while the decent people pay the price.......bad moral to the story.

eradancemusic29 April 2021
I watched it with my fiancé who is also a fun of psychological thrillers and I must admit - this is was of the best mystery the series I've ever watched. And finally something without a violent.

Poor
crumpytv3 June 2021
I nearly gave up during the first episode as it was tedious. I wish I had, but the ending of this episode promised better things to come.

Overall, this could easily have been encapsulated in four episodes, not six.

The characters are really dull and uninteresting and the plot is totally ridiculous, especially the conclusion.

Dreadful and implausible
lwalkden25 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I love French movies and television programmes but this really insulted anyone's intelligence with it's ridiculous characterisation and plot.

Initially I had a lot of difficulty differentiating between the two male leads as I found they looked and sounded very similar and I wasn't sure who was who on many occasions.

The female lead and her lover were so self-absorbed and obviously a lot older than 35 and 38 as the timeline suggested.

It was really disappointing to see them both throwing away their beautiful lives, careers/children for each other as there was no chemistry between them.

That a senior detective wasn't aware of them having a love affair was difficult to underbut of course that came out later in another implausible twist to this ridiculous story That a surgeon would act so crazily and upend her life and family to the extent that saw her father imprisoned was also so bizarre that I just really regret watching even a single pisode let alone the entire series. Silly me.

Incredible; not in a good way!
frenchwineonly15 August 2022
The leading actress, really was the one who had got away with murder, as she caused all of the mayhem, if ever I've seen a movie where sympathy for the main characters was less apparent, it was this.

For me; I only binged to watch all 6 episodes to see if the main actress would get her come-uppense which she deserved but didn't get.

Unbelievable storyline.
