Abby brings Dave, a homeland security guy, who's interested in the case to the office. Grace pulls Abby aside. She's not happy Abby talked to the Feds. Abby doesn't appreciate the scolding and fights back, saying they should work on the case instead of getting into a turf war.

Ham and Butch play pool and realize they spent all day following up on arcades because both thought the other one thought it was worthwhile but neither did.

A truck pulls in and the hooker gives the signal. Abby and Grace creep up to the truck. There are two kids on the other side of the truck. Ham runs to get them away. They creep closer as the drug deal starts to go down. Then one guy pulls a gun on the other. Grace shouts "police" and he fires. They grab one man but the other runs into the diner. Grace pulls her toward her but she falls and lands on top of Grace, pinning her. Grace shouts for Abby, who takes a second too long to move. The suspect runs for the door and fires in Abby's direction. Stuck under the hooker, Grace reaches a plastic fork and jabs it into Carl's leg. He drops his gun and Grace kicks it away. Ham races in from outside. They get him.
