- The chefs cook a meal for a girl's Sweet 16 party, the team with the most chosen dishes wins. The winning team spends the day go kart racing and the losing team decorated the dining room for her party.
- Team challenge: The chefs prepared an appetizer and two entrees for Melissa, a girl celebrating her "Sweet 16", to vote on; the team with the most chosen dishes would win. The men won two dishes to one, with the tie-breaker coming on the meat entree; Melissa preferred the women's entree, but after pressure from her mother, chose the men's as it was what more guests would prefer.
Reward/punishment: The men spent a day kart racing, followed by treats at the Simon LA restaurant. The women decorated Hell's Kitchen for Melissa's party, supervised by party planner Francesco and Melissa's mother Lori.
Service: Before service began, Shayna expressed frustration over Ben's laid back attitude towards her challenge winning dish, while the red team was equally as frustrated with Shayna for her slow work during prep. Hell's Kitchen hosted Melissa's "Sweet 16" birthday party for the service, with Melissa and Lori as VIP guests. The service generally went well, though flaws still occurred. Christina forgot the ingredients for a risotto, while Shayna frustrated Ramsey and Gloria with her slowness on garnish. Ben served dry chicken wings but recovered, Matt struggled on fish, halibut for Melissa's mother was returned back for being dry, as well as steak for being undercooked and rice for being mushy and had raw halibut, to the point where Bobby once again took over his station, and despite his scallops receiving praise, Ramsay berated Matt for lacking heart. Rosann struggled on meat, had beef returned back for being undercooked instead of medium well and undercooked another beef, forcing Ramsay to eventually take over. Both teams completed service, and while the red team had a 99% approval rating compared to the blue team's 98%, Ramsay refused to name a losing team based on a difference of just 1% and named the team's joint winners for the second time in a row. However, he told each team to nominate one chef and announced someone would be eliminated this time.
Elimination: Matt and Shayna were nominated; Ramsay then asked Christina for who she considered the worst on the red team, and she exacted revenge on Rosann by nominating her. During the pleas, Matt stated that Bobby had pushed him off his station that night and, after Ramsey accused him of hiding behind Bobby, stated that Ben was hiding behind Bobby. He then requested to be transferred to the red team, as he felt he had no voice or respect in the blue team and stated that if he were transferred then the failure would become more apparent in the men. Ramsay then sent Matt back in line and eliminated Shayna for her slowness, but praised her big heart. This marked the first time a chef was eliminated despite being on the winning team.
Team change: Ramsay then granted Matt his request to be transferred to the red team.
Shayna's comment: "I'd be a liar if I sat here and said, 'Oh, I'm glad to go home.' No, I'm not glad to go home. I wanted to be here. I wanted to win this. But you know what, there are great things to come for me. This has shown me that I can do what I set my mind out to do. "
Ramsay's comment: "Shayna has a big heart, but at times I felt her heart wasn't here. It was back home with her newborn baby. She made far too many simple mistakes and that's why she's going back to something she's good at: changing diapers."
