"Malcolm in the Middle" is one of my favorite TV shows and I still watch it often in syndication. The writing is great and the show really has a great ensemble cast.

In 2002, someone decided to create a documentary about the show. However, its intent is obvious...not to entertain the audience but to essentially do a self-congratulatory piece that says hurray for us and delivers only the most positive and glowing information. If you believe this film, everything about the show, the actors, etc. was perfect...couldn't be better. Now, this could be true...but hearing a constant refrain of self-congratulatory praise decreased my enjoyment of the piece. I didn't want them to generate fake controversies...but I also wanted more facts and more information about the day to day workings instead of just having everyone say that all is swell. Overall, a fluff piece about a great show.

As a kid, i could really relate to Malcolm's life. This series had really thought their way through it. it was as if they put camera's in a kids actual home! many events throughout this laugh out loud T.V. series were very possible, and probably did occure in some families. not only was this series realistic, but it was also very funny. Francis is my favorite, then Reese, then Dewey, then Malcolm, then Hal, and then Lois. these actors were perfect to be brought together in this. they were so convincing, when i first saw it, i thought it was one of those nanny 911 series. I had my first laughs, and was then attracted to it. the actors were so good, and committed to their role, i thought they were a real family with a camera crew taping how they live. please try and look into the acting, and the characters, and imagine how realistically funny this was.
