  Jack Bauer : I can't

  President Allison Taylor : [Raises her voice]  open the door

  Jack Bauer : [shouts]  I can't

  President Allison Taylor : That is my daughter out there: do you understand? I've already lost my son. Have you any idea what it's like to lose a child?

  Jack Bauer : I am genuinely sorry but I cannot let them take you, there is nothing you can do for her now

  President Allison Taylor : Do you have children?

  Jack Bauer : I have a daughter

  President Allison Taylor : Could you do what you're asking me to do? Just stand by and watch her butchered?
